Polymer Monomer & Copolymerization

It is a critical comonomer in free-radical polymerization, primarily copolymerized with vinyl acetate (VAc), acrylic monomers, ethylene, vinyl chloride, or styrene. These copolymers enhance polymer properties such as hydrophobicity, weather resistance, chemical stability, adhesion, and flexibility, outperforming homopolymers of vinyl acetate or acrylates. It is widely used to produce modified vinyl acetate-ethylene (VAE) emulsions, acrylic copolymers, and vinyl chloride copolymers.

Coatings & Paints
